‘ATMI was a game changer’
I can’t say enough wonderful things about ATMI. Before I even entered college, ATMI provided a place for me to expand my interest in journalism beyond traditional print and explore opportunities. It was because the original ATMI Director, Shana Sheehy, let me design the first ATMI website (Bless whoever redesigned the website, it’s so much better. So, so, so much better.) that I knew I wanted to go to a college that wouldn’t tie me to a single format. So, when Mizzou started talking about its new Convergence Program, I was all in. Which was a good thing because that’s how I fell into audiobooks and my current career. Ten years later, I’m still helping to tell stories in audio, now they’re just fictional. I have a hard time imagining how I would have ended up here if Shana hadn’t first asked me if I’d be interested in joining this new project she was thinking about. I’m so happy that ATMI’s still going strong.
